QUALITY Improvement, Communication and Professional Development were key priority issues for the Innovative Alliance teams at their recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Day.
Focusing on these three areas, the day was used as an effective communication platform for all matters applicable to staff which related to the business.
It was the first CPD day since Ian Green took over the role as Chief Executive.
Ian explained: “These sessions are an important part of communicating with all staff on matters which ensure they develop in the workplace and keep their skills and knowledge up to date so they can operate effectively and safely.
“Afterwards, we ask for feedback about their thoughts on the day as a whole, what went well and what can be improved on as well as seeking out potential future topics of interest.”
He added: “Members of the Management Team work hard to make sure the agenda for these regular CPD days is informative, interactive and engaging, getting the trainers themselves involved in aspects of the delivery and focussing on sharing good practice with everyone.
“Operating this way, we are building a strong culture of togetherness and accountability across the entire IA workforce.”
Sandra Kirkham, Managing Director at Progress to Excellence Group, joined the CPD day and shared with staff the wider group journey to date and priorities for the future.
She said: “It was a pleasure to go along and be part of this CPD day with Innovative Alliance. As a group of businesses, we are constantly striving to work more effectively and efficiently in our delivery, and it’s days such as these which really help to support that.
“As part of the Progress to Excellence Group ‘family’, IA plays a vital role in the delivery of adult education and training to ensure economic activity for all learners regardless of their level of need.”
