About us

Progress to Excellence Group is the parent company of a number of education and training companies which work throughout England to offer a service which is second to none.

The Group was founded in 1997 and, since then, has enjoyed significant growth. Headed up by Sandra Kirkham as Managing Director and backed by national and international investment companies, Progress to Excellence Group, via its subsidiaries, serves 4,000 individuals and 1,300 businesses throughout England.

Beyond training, the Group takes a progressive approach towards giving back to others and works with several charities of different shapes and sizes. The Progress to Excellence Group strives forward its CSR and charitable commitments via sponsorships, fundraising and donations. As such, it has touched the lives of countless individuals over the years.

Our History

  • Sandra Kirkham returns as MD following a period as Chairman.

    Amin Amiriand Oliver Barkes invest in the business.

    Progress to Excellence Group (PtEGroup) is incorporated.

  • NVQ Training renamed Progress to Excellence Limited (PtoE Ltd)
  • Damian Burdin appointed CEO of PtoE Limited, joined in 2011.

    PtEGroup acquires Caredus Group Limited as part of a distressed sale keeping 5 schools and Veritas Hire Limited adding £2.2 million or revenues in FY17.

  • Sandra named Group MD of the PtoE Group. Progress Schools Limited established and James Madine appointed CEO joined in 2012.
  • Expansion of Schools provision to 8 sites. Planning commenced for capital restructure and acquisitive growth funds.
  • Dave Murray appointed Commercial Director and Lynn Lock appointed Business Development Director to join Sandra and Oliver in Progress to Excellence Group to drive growth strategy forward.

    Funds for capital restructure and acquisition secured 2 commercial income training companies and 1 Government funded employability provider.
